Vivaldi Project
12 makers from Europe and the USA have been chosen to recreate a baroque orchestra based on l8th century Venetian instruments. Jonathan will make an exact replica of a Carlos Tononi 1725. Banff Centre for the Arts Teaching
Violin Restoration

In 2004 Jonathan helped set up the unique
2 week summer workshop for Violin related topics at the Banff Centre in the Canadian Rockies. Leading in teaching methods of repair and discussions these workshops have become an annual event. Plans are in progress for Summer '06. see www.banffcentre
By planning ahead and bringing your own commissioned work the time at these courses can be a viable work or learning experience in a truly magnificent setting as well as surrounded by a wealth of expertise.

Cambridge University
Jonathan has acted as advisor to the Dept. of Music. He has also worked with Jim Woodhouse of the Engineering Department as hands on craftsman for experiments on sound and acoustics. www2.eng.cam.ac.uk/~jw12
